Evidmere

Reviews and prices

Four reviews, each at a published price.

Each answers one question from the company's own information and the public record. A first answer in about ten days, and the full review in two to four weeks, counted from receiving the company's information. Prices exclude VAT.

Positioning review

£10,000

Within two weeks

The question
Which positioning should the company take before its next round, or is the plan the best use of the next three years?
The evidence
The company's own information and the public record. No interviews.
What it excludes
Customer and pricing evidence and competitor profiles in depth, which are in the growth review; the options open to the company priced at each exit open to the owners, which is the owners' return review.
What the reader gets
A short decision document first: the options the company has, what each is worth and what must hold. Then the full review: the market sized three ways; the competitive landscape by type, with the lessons for the company; comparable companies and transactions, with averages and deal counts; the buyers, investors and partners by name; the recommended option with its playbook; the valuation model for the company's shape; and the workbook behind every figure.
Length
About forty pages.

Growth review

£20,000

Within three weeks

The question
Which growth path, with the financing each needs; or does the plan hold against the alternatives before a refinancing or a bolt-on acquisition?
The evidence
The company's own information and the public record, with customer and pricing evidence from the company's own sales, pricing and retention records, read against the public record. No interviews.
What it excludes
The options open to the company priced at each exit open to the owners, which is the owners' return review.
What the reader gets
The decision document, then the full review: everything in the positioning review, plus customer and pricing evidence and competitor profiles in depth.
Length
Up to seventy pages.

Owners' return review

£40,000

Within four weeks

The question
Which strategy and which exit route most raise the return to the owners, before an exit or at mid-hold?
The evidence
The company's own information and the public record. No interviews.
What it excludes
Transaction work and implementation, which stay the company's own; target-by-target acquisition work and divisional reviews, which are modules commissioned separately.
What the reader gets
The decision document, then the full review: the options open to the company, with those the evidence supports valued on one basis, and a reason recorded for every option set aside; each priced on the owners' return at the exits open to them, with the conditions each must meet, the evidence for each today and the information that would settle it; and the workbook behind every figure.
Length
Around 160 pages.

Continuing review

from £80,000

Ongoing

The question
Does the review still hold as the company's own facts change?
The evidence
The company's own information and the public record. No interviews.
What it excludes
A named deal or target tested, or a further company or division reviewed, each a module at £40,000.
What the reader gets
An owners' return review first, then for twelve months an ongoing review, with us working with the board: re-issued whenever the company's own facts change — updated financials, a changed plan — and re-read each quarter, reported to the board.
Length
Twelve months, after the owners' return review.

For a sponsor with several portfolio companies: a fund plan — the Continuing review across the companies you choose, under one agreement; each board receives its own review and decision document, re-issued when the facts change and re-read each quarter. Priced on request, by the number of companies.

For a company you do not yet own: a confidential review, on the same method and standard, priced on request.

A review is not a commercial due diligence. It does not include customer interviews and carries no reliance letter for lenders or buyers. It is the work a board or an investor does to decide which of its options deserves that spend.

The decision document on its own

Positioning scope

£3,000

Growth scope

£6,000

Owners' return scope

£12,000

It sets out the options the company has, what each is worth and what must hold, states the decision it supports and marks what is still provisional. It arrives about ten days after the company's information, with the workbook behind its figures. It is payable on commissioning. If the review is commissioned within thirty days of its delivery, its fee is credited in full against the half of the review's price payable on commissioning.

Terms

  • Prices are in pounds sterling and exclude VAT.
  • Half is payable when you commission the review, and half on delivery.
  • Our fee is fixed. No part of it depends on a financing, a sale or any other transaction.
  • Every figure in a review carries its source and can be recomputed from the workbook we deliver with it.
  • Nothing in a review is published or shared outside the engagement.
  • There is no free phase. The first conversation and the information request cost nothing; the work starts when a review or a decision document is commissioned.
  • The Continuing review's base fee is paid quarterly in advance; its modules half on commissioning and half on delivery.
  • A fund can commission any of these reviews on a company it holds or is considering, with the company's agreement. The company receives the same review.
